Shrine of Bl. Carlo Acutis

With great joy and thanksgiving, on Sunday, October 1, 2023, Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M. celebrated the 9:00 A.M. Mass here at St. Dominic Church as our Parish Family and the Diocese of Trenton welcomed Antonia Salzano, the Mother of Blessed Carlo Acutis. It was on this occasion that Bishop O’Connell dedicated the new Diocesan Shrine to Blessed Carlo Acutis whom he named “Diocesan Patron of Youth, Especially Those in Catholic Schools and Religious Education Programs”.

Prayer for the Intercession of Blessed Carlo Acutis

“O God our Father, we thank you for giving us Carlo, a model life for young people, and a message of love for all. You made him fall in love with your son, Jesus, making the Eucharist his “highway to heaven.” You gave him Mary as a beloved mother, and you made him, through the Rosary, a cantor of her tenderness. Receive his prayer for us. Look above all upon the poor, whom he loved and assisted. Grant me, too, through his intercession, the grace that I need (mention your intention). We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.”

Where is the Shrine Located?

The Diocesan Shrine is located in the narthex (candle room) of our church - just as you enter through the main church doors.
